ABOUT THE AUTHOR
MICHAEL MORDENGA IN HIS OWN WORDS
I have been writing since Microsoft Office was first brought to home computers. My first story
was about a boy who had eternal bad luck. Since then, I had become obsessed with storytelling
that makes readers laugh or say “wow, that is weird.” I was part of an improv troupe called the
Village Idiots and Storytime Improv for eight years where I marveled audiences with making up
geeky references and making all my scenes awkward. My first self-published book was The Boy
and His Curse, which was a fantasy tribute to Douglas Adams, C.S. Lewis, and Brian Jacques
molded into one story. My favorite thing to do as an author is to put my protagonist in impossible
or obscure situations and have them grow spiritual virtues as a way to overcome them. When I
am not writing fiction I blog about pro wrestling and video games.
Writing is my passionate way to reach the world with a good story from my nerdy brain, but my
main vocation is being a Campus One80 Minister at MCC in Rochester, New York. I invite
students to attend Bible Studies and share the story of my life in Jesus with them.
